Our Services: Joint Fundraising
The Neighborhood Health Care Network actively
solicits contributions to benefit our member clinics through a joint
fundraising program. These funds are distributed among our members
to cover the general health care operating expenses associated with
providing high volumes of uncompensated care to low-income and uninsured
Minnesotans. Individuals, private and corporate foundations, and
other entities can give collectively to the Network, knowing that
their gift will be shared to benefit the primary and preventive
health care safety net across our community. In 2003, the program
raised over $400,000 for our members.
We are grateful to our donors, some of whom
have been giving to Neighborhood Health Care Network clinics for
many years. For example, the St. Paul Travelers’ company includes
the Network in their annual employee charitable fund drive, providing
a reliable source of unrestricted health care dollars over the past
two decades. In addition, the Edwards Memorial Trust and the B.C.
Gramble and P.W. Skogmo Fund of The Minneapolis Foundation provide
generous support year after year to maintain a quality system of
clinics for our most needy residents. In 2003, we were pleased to
add the Carl and Eloise Pohlad Family Foundation as a major supporter
of the program.
