Fundraising
Fundraising is essential to support the
collaborative activities of the Neighborhood
Health Care Network. The
Network’s Community Health Fund
raises and distributes funds to member clinics
to support their general operations and the
growing costs of providing high volumes
of uncompensated care to low-income and
uninsured Minnesotans. Individuals, private
and corporate foundations, and other entities
give collectively to the Network, knowing
their gift will be shared to benefit the primary
and preventive health care safety net across
our community. In 2007, the Network raised
nearly $186,299 through the Community
Health Fund campaign.
The kinds of activities supported by the
Community Health Fund at member clinics
include:
- Full family medical care, including
services and education for seniors and
children.
- Mental health services.
- Dental care.
- Family planning, STD testing and treatment,
counseling and support services for
pregnant and parenting teens.
- Clinic staff who speak multiple languages,
including Hmong, Lao, Vietnamese,
Spanish, Cambodian, Somali, Ojibwe,
Lakota, French.
Grants and donations from foundations, organizations and individuals are crucial to maintaining
the management and clinical operations of the Network and, through the Community
Health Fund, its clinic member organizations. The Network extends its appreciation to the
following donors and supporters, who made its 2006-2007 operations possible:
